Anyone seen it yet? I saw it last night - what an awesome film!
It has some quite sad/tragic moments in it and the fact that you already know the outcome makes it more powerful.
I've come to the conclusion that anyone who slags it off is a blatant attention-seeker (like the knobhead Guardian reviewer) or is not a fan of Sci-Fi - in which case why the hell would they go see it in the first place!?

Anyway I recommend it - especially to Star Wars fans. Lucas has delivered this time round. :D

Most of the dialogue was painfull to hear, and a lot of the acting was horrible, but god damn it if I didn't just love the film!

And now into ultra nerdy mode, but did anyone else notice Wayne Pygram (AKA Scorpius) playing a young Grand Moff Tarkin!?

It was entertaining, but they could have cut out about 20 mins of the fighting and beefed up the ending a bit cause it felt rushed. Plus the majority of the acting was pretty poor, although the emperor was amazing. It was still a tonne better than the 2 previous to it though.

I saw it last night. I agree it was too long and some of the dialogue was ropey, especially Obi-Wan's, but that's only a small complaint when you consider the last two films! It had an emotion that has lacked in the other films and the action scenes kicked ass! Iwas not disappointed at all!

Incidently, did anyone catch Eurovision last nite? I loved Norway's glam rockers WigWam and the Moldovan Red Hot Chilli Peppers Tribute band were a total joke!

I thought the film was classy, excepet there SHOULD have been more wookie wars.

Tarkin was done in CG. I don't know who the hell you thought was him, but the one at the end was a CG Peter Cushing. Froooooooom beyooooooooooond the graaaaaaaaaaaaaaaave.
