I was in a band once for three years. We played about 10 gigs, supported "Scurge" and wrote about 8 songs that were any good. I was the workhorse behind this band. I got the gigs, organised practices, wrote the songs, and even some lyrics.

Anyway, although my bassist never told me, I knew that he wanted to be in the limelight, and as I was having difficulty managing my time, I left the band with the idea that they would split up. And they did.

The bassist started his own band with two other members of my band. I was fine with that.

In July, they recorded at Necrodeath studios with Mick Kenney of Mistress/Frost/Anaal Nathrakh/Fukpig fame.

I just heard the EP they recorded and the bastards have nicked 3 of my most potent riffs. WANKERS! They could have fucking asked me first! I feel a bit shit now.

It's a bit like when Metallica used Dave Mustaine's material on Kill 'em all and Ride the Lightning after they had kicked him out of the band - after he had asked them not to.

Don't dwell on it man, you'll write better stuff - Mustaine did (just listen to Rust in Peace for the evidence)

In fact you should use the emotions you're feeling right now to write some new music
