sounds like you've made loads of progress since we last talked then!

This is so difficult to explain:

I DON'T hold the pick like some players, with the pick flat against the side of the index finger and parallel with the bottom of the thumb (examples of this being Trey from Morbid or Dallas from Nile) eg:


I also DON'T hold my pick with the tip of my index finger parallel to the pick and with parallel with the thumb eg:


I do it half way between the two positions so the pick is capable of rolling to either of the above positions eg:


It depends on what i'm playing and how i'm feeling but i generally use the last position for all my playing.
