(More) Mithras bashing on the Nile board

HAHAHA!! I've just got home from work and thought I'd check out that Nile thread again over on their forum. I haven't laughed this much in ages! I read the whole thing, particularly Mr Sanders comments in reply to my post and laughed so much I had tears in my eyes.
What a shitstorm in a tea cup! :lol:

Why is it so big a deal to him that other bands are faster than his?

When you listen to the 300bpm double bass it's pretty obvious that it's at least 280bpm+ even without putting it through a beat-counter! The guy is in denial, crest-fallen I suppose, but that's life.

I'm glad Leon decided to record that part - it's caused such controversy among the americans. Remember the Derek Roddy forum as well? hahaha. Ain't life a bitch when a previously unknown british band from Rugby (I bet the Floridians don't even know where it is) cause such a stir?

I'm sure not all Americans have the same (bad) attitude. Indeed we have American members on here that appreciate both bands.

I told my trouble-causing sister (Electra In Hades etc.) about the shit that was flying about and she suggested something that had me in fits of laughter:-

I hate these sorts of argument, they just get me down.

The music is there, the evidence is there. I see no reason to argue with it.

There is more to Death Metal than Derek Roddy and other Nile drummers. I find it hard to accept because they cannot do it, that it is impossible to reach these speeds. Just because they are in big name Death metal bands, does not mean they are the top of their game (I'm talking in terms of speed here)

There is no question they are are excellent drummers and that Leon is an excellent drummer, I think everyone can agree with this.

HAHAHA Apparently I'm 2-faced as well. I couldn't see the point in openly having a go at Nile/Karl - one of their lame-ass moderators would have censored/banned me and I wouldn't have been able to get my point across.

I can't work out his logic - he thinks because I have proven Mithras have played 300bpm in 16ths I don't understand what 16ths are, yet i clearly stated in my post 1200hpm. 4x4=16 Mr Sanders, there is no 'nu-math' there is only math and more to the point I have studied degree level math. Why would I have trouble with music measures you Nonce? Why don't you try putting the drum MP3 through a beat-counter? It's hardly fucking rocket science! I'LL ANSWER FOR YOU - YOU WON'T DO IT BECAUSE YOU WON'T LIKE WHAT YOU FIND AND YOU ALREADY KNOW THE TRUTH.

I sense an imminent ban from the Nile forum looming. I can feel the darkside welling up... :lol:
