Ok we're half way through October already and everyone's getting excited about 'Behind The Shadows Lie Madness'.

Now speaking personally I haven't heard any albums that are as good as or better than WBTV since it's release.

Some friends of mine are into the latest Nile offering etc. I on the other hand haven't been 'stoked' about anything for some time now.

The question is... who do you consider to be the main competition to Mithras at the moment in the Death/Extreme metal arena?

Which extreme metal bands out there have released 'killer' albums in the last 12 months, in your opinion?

I haven't heard the new nile album yet, but the songs i have heard don't do anything for me. I don't think there is much in the way of competition... expecially not nile! Mithras are at the top of the pecking order in my books.

Deeds of Flesh are just another band, I don't see anything particulary exciting in their sound, it's just bland.
