Band Update - 3/18/2010
World Management and Morbid Angel would like to let the fans know
that rumors about Pedro Sandoval¹s back surgery are in fact true.
Pete has suffered for a long time with a deteriorating disc problem.
He was in daily pain and needed to have this done.
He has recently been treated by a Laser Back Surgery specialist
in Tampa Florida. He is currently in rehabilitation and doing well.
Pete is part of our family and the band¹s History
and we all wish him well and a full recovery.
Unfortunately this type of injury, subsequent surgery and rehab
cannot be rushed and it will take ample time for him to hopefully
be back behind his drums again and out on tour with Morbid Angel.

The band is moving forward on their next recording with Tim Yeung.
Currently the guys are in rehearsals in Tampa putting their finishing
touches on the songs for the New album, which is slated for later
this year with subsequent touring world wide.

Yeah what a bugger. This rumour has been circulating for ages.

I think it's almost impossible for any drummer to step into Pete's shoes and Tim while a great drummer, isn't on the level of Pete based on his recordings so far. I guess he's got a lot to prove on the new Morbid Angel album, it'll be interesting.

I like Pete, but he's a bit of a one-trick pony. The only thing Yeung will have trouble with is making the slow bits as interesting as Pete did - he's not going to have any trouble just blasting away.

yeah will be interesting to see what the Tim the missile will drop for sure...I bet Pete had the songs demoed so hopefully Tim will play the stuff note for note. He is a drum instructor at MIT in LA as of late so I doubt he will dissappoint. He is the worlds fastest single stroke dbl bass player ya know(well at least the only extreme drummer to compete thus far, Im sure George, Leon or Biji could give em a ride for there money lol)

imo theres a vast gap between the two drummers, Pete is the originator of much dm drumming, and no one blasts like Pete did on formulas!

Tims score at wfd is cool, but the way the foot contest is set up is a bit retarded (sadly),which is probably why so few drummers theoretically capable of smashing the record enter.

Trey wrote most of the drums for the last few ma records on a drum machine, this might be the score this time round too.

you guys should really just be supportive imo, all this tim suks pete is the man crap don't get anyone anywhere... you guys must be out of your minds to think that Trey and Pete don't have the utmost confidence in Tim... he is the chosen one.... so let it be written, so let it be done..... As you guys pointed out with pete and the drum machine, you really think there were gonna let tim write his parts?
