Lyrical explanations are now online for the 'Worlds...' album, go to the discography page, then the 'Worlds...' extended info button, then to "Explanations" and there they are.

Enjoy! Comments encouraged!

"R: Conceptually the track 'Worlds...' brings the realisation that there are worlds beyond our own, worlds more evil and sinister and that something is breaking down the barriers between worlds to get to ours. The music represents the alarm and panic which would be involved with this realisation of this impending doom."

You know, after the vortex riff turns into the uber-epic riff, I get a powerful sense of elation. To me, the (hypothetical) realisation that there are worlds beyond our own expands and heightens this world and this life, correlating nicely with the vastness of that last riff.

It's interesting you mention this, as I was thinking what Rayner says here contradicts my own viewpoint of the track. I see it more as a kaleidoscope of different moods and textures, with the ending section being full of elation.

Unfortunately, there isn't enough time for me to write down all my thoughts regarding this record, it'd take years! So in some places the answers to the parts Rayner covered differ from my own thoughts, but that makes it all the more interesting I guess.

Yes I agree. There are some parts that are full of elation, definately. That statement was more of an overview than directed at any single part. As Leon said I think we could both sit down and write full insights into all the songs and we would get agreement and contradiction in places which would make it very intresting for us all, maybe even creating a new outlook on parts. Again as leon also said it would be a gargantuan task for us to do and even then we probably wouldn't cover every single aspect.

Thanks for writing these, I found them all pretty interesting. I've always found WBTV to be one of the "happiest" extreme metal albums I own, besides maybe Lykathea Aflame. I've just always found it really uplifting, invigorating, and energetic. It's kinda cool how when actually reading the explanations and lyrics it's really quite foreboding and dark.
