Hello gang. just got back to the forums after a couple of month's absence. Normally i don't do introduction threads these days, preferring to just get on with posting, and i've been here for a good year. More to the point though i wanted to start a "what's been happening for the past few months" kind of thread. Which to be fair i already know what's happened. Sam Bean is doing a really well as Mithras's new front man, Mithras have done a few shows, one of which was fairly local and i'm now frothing with envy, and i need to get off my arse to get the new shirts.

Anyways the name's Tuke. I'm a UK based fan in London, you may remember me from the Day of Unrest where i had the pleasure of almost losing my hearing at the front row . Great night that was. I paint and draw for a living and I work on this Action Horror webcomic that's a bit like death metal in picture story format. I've been a Mithras fan for a good 2 years. I got into it when my mate Dungeon Shaker force fed me some tracks during the summer, and being hooked immediately, by October i had bought all 3 albums within a month.

Funny story for you guys; The first album i got was Behind the Shadows. I had the weekend off that night when i was playing it over and over like you would expect. Over the next couple of nights i found out that one of the lady bartenders walked out due to stress on the club where i work. She also happened to be my brother's flatmate at the time, and he was telling me about how she had some serious mental issues during that time with it turning out she had a history of mental illness. And it was the same Saturday in which she tried to take her own life, and would have succeeded if my brother hadn't got the ambulance.
So yeah looking back, i know the songs and lyrics are about something completely different, but i just find it a strange coincidence that i was listening to the track Behind the Shadows more or less at the same moment when this nutty bird was trying to off herself with alcohol and paracetamol overdose. Weird world!
