Ah yes, I was actually considering buying a Schecter, but to be completely honest, the 26.5" put me off. And the sheer amount of Nu-metal guitarists that used them wasn't too encouraging either.

As it is, I already downtune one of my guitars to D with 10guage strings without bother, so all I can see the 26.5" scale doing for me is getting in the way if I wanted to tune up to E.

Well of course not! Even Ibanez has it's fair share of Nu-metal users, so I'd hardly let that put me off.

Although I'm wondering what you plan on tuning the schecter to?

Me, because I'll have a badass fucking guitar.

And not only that, but I've also got the most badass guitar in the fucking universe incoming aswell. Yes, far more badass than the RG1527, a custom built BC Rich 7 String Stealth, styled after Chuck Schudliners. Oh yeah baby, it's gonna be awesome. Ask me for the specs if you dare!

Neck-through Maple, Mahogany Body, Ebony Fretboard with no inlays. DiMarzio Evolution and Air Norton pickups, fixed bridge and chrome hardware.

Sound sexy?
Yes, yes it does. :D

Sounds sweet.
When that arrives will you sell me your RG cut-price for a fellow Mithras lover ;)? what colour did you get btw?

Fixed bridge meaning like a tune-o-matic or a fender style hard-tail or one of the cool BC-Rich fixed bridges that plays like a tune-o-matic and the strings just wrap around the body, none of this strings thru body or stop tailpiece monkey buisness?

No, I'm keeping the RG, even if I did get it to dull the pain of waiting for the Custom. I plan on having both guitars set up differently, likely the RG will stay in standard tuning, and the Stealth will be tuned down.

Fixed bridge meaning Tune-O-Matic, because they don't do the normal fixed bridge (the Quad) for 7 strings.

The colour of the Stealth will be black. The RG is as pictured, methinks.

well, lets say on a 6 string I drop to Bb... but I have a couple of Aghast songs in Db... so I would drop down to Ab on a seven string... possibly
