its got maple. its thin wood and wearing greatly, i'm trying not to use the thing because i don't want it to wear anymore. thats why i've been looking around for different guitars, i'm going to sell the rest of my guitars so that i can try and buy a 1970's or 80's les paul...very expensive tho, but worth it.

as for you mr p, i love you also...i need to tell someone about how great i am because no one else will listen :P its all good for the ego

as for the color its a wierd blue color cant hard to describe.

Mustaine your fingerboard is Maple - that's why it wears so much...better then Rosewood anyway.

Well the aluminium neck one is up for sale or will be shortly anyway - I need the cash badly coz I've just haemorrhaged a load of cash on the Ibanez UV7BK. I didn't think I'd ever sell the aluminium one; it took a long time to find and it's mint but I think I have too many guitars now. As for the Seymours - the humbuckers are Jeff Becks and the others are vintage staggered single coils (I think). They sound nice anyway.

yeah i have an emg-81 (bridge) and an emg 60 (neck) in my les paul, and I mut say the 81 gives shitloads of raw aenergy! the bottom end is so tight on your palm mutes! it just gives you so much power and such a heavy tone! also harmonics can be pulled off so easily! and also volume swells become easier!

also what is the 'back pickup'? I've alsways just said either the bridge pickup (closest to the bridge) or the midle pickup (in the midle obv.) or the neck pickup (closest to the neckl)!

so yeah i highly recommend an emg-81 for the bridge of your guitar!

the cheapest i've seen them is on http://www.gak.co.uk thats where i got mine from!

back pick up is a 'fucking retarded slang user' word for the bridge pickup...as in at the back of the guitar in respect to the head.
