I'm working on solo stuff at the moment, it's kind of like radiohead mixed with tool mixed with devin townsend, I have the basic layout of 6 songs in my head and have guitar parts and small bits of melody/hooks in my head but only the basic rhythm guitar parts are set in my mind. Hoping to record it all sometime, looking to write a further 4 songs first!

also I've been thinking about forming a barber-shop quartet recently! anyone interested? 8)

Argh, the link has changed.
And for some reason it's not a VIP page anymore (the kickass background and design have gone)
If they still charge me, I'm gonna pound their american skulls!

I am in a technical/futurist death metal band from south England, I'll post a link when we have the new one running. We have been going for a couple years now but recently we parted with our bassist, anyone know an accomplished bassist in this area?

I have been playing guitar for about 5 years now. I play guitar in Nefaustium which is a mixture of death and black metal and I also play guitar in an old school metal project called Steel Vengeance. Here is a link to the Nefaustium mp3 site...its old stuff but some new stuff wil be recorded soon with a reald drummer. http://www.musicianmp3.com/artist/nefaustium

Our basic drive is being as shit as completely possible, and then listening to our own music while playing videogames.

Wait until I finish Sevas Dog.
I'll show you some horrible fucking music

the song is alright, not very original, but the playing is good, and the riffs are decent. you could try doing some of the fast picking in 4s, cos it sounds like 3s a lot of the time? its strange how the snare drum doesn't come in for ages... maybe that was intentional though  the drum parts are funny, it doesnt sound like what a real drummer would do. like you say, more blastbeats would be nice, though i dont hear any blastbeats at all in this mp3! you should do a solo in it, the little lead at the end sounds good 8)

Yea i know what you mean about the drums...but when it comes to that i find it hard to rele know what i want...and then explain it to my guitar teacher who is programming it all...cos i'm only 15 and large amounts of technology confuses me!!! but i'm trying to get blastbeats and more snare shit in there.

And as for a solo!!! with the lyrics in, which should be soon, there rele isn't much room...but we'll see where it goes..i may change my mind at the last minute, then i could attempt to solo :P

Thanks for the reply thou! :D

EDIT: and it isn't really meant to be original...it's death metal the way i like it (if it had more blastbeats!!!!)

Play in two london bands
Guitar in Mundane: old school death metal with other extreme stuff and
bass in nebukadnezza: extreme thrash metal.
playing gigs and got full length demos for both of them.
If any one want a copy of them the give me an e-mail and i'll sort something out.
sandpitofdoom@hotmail.com
Also any london extreme metal bands out there e-mail me, i'm looking for more bands to do gigs with.

Also any drummers looking for bands then we need one for mundane (someone who can blast beat a lot). We're currently in a bit of a mithras situation with our other guitarist doing drums.
