I play bass, self taught, been playing for around 2 years on and off now. I'm pretty good all told, especially at the faster stuff.
All anyone here plays is punk, ska-punk, or any variation therof (spunk?). Well, that's a lie, I've been in a Metallica cover band, several garage grunge (yuck) things, and a one-off black metal thingumabobber. We called ourselves Satan's Little Helper. You may guess that we were not quite serious about it all. Oh, and the school swing band. Jazzy.
I've been in a band hiatus for about a year now. I'd really love to find a guitarist or two interested in playing some nice, relaxing death metal. I already know a blastbeat-friendly drummer, with an unfortunate Lars Ulrich/industrial/nu-metal obsession. But you can't have it all. I lent him In Their Darkened Shrines, he liked that at least.
