Last night I had a dream. I heard a song in it and when I woke up, it was all I could think about. I went to a guitar and wrote it down. As far as I know, it's not any song that I've heard so I'm assuming I just dreamt it up!

It feels really wierd; Although it sounds like something I'd write, I have no idea where it came from. It's not as if I jujst sat down and worked it out.

Anyone else had any experience like this?

Yeah, it is happening quite alot recently. It's weird but the music is good!

Never actually dreamt up a song but had an interesting, really vivid dream a coupla nights ago. I dreamt i was at a festival with a mate and we went to 1 of the side stages to see Dimmu Borgir. Only when the band came onstage it was actually a lame emo band. Noone noticed till theyed finished playin though, and then I woke up
Kinda weird and random i know but there you go

Yeah, i dreamt the main riff in 'portal to the...' then jumped out of bed ran to the studio and recorded it!

I've tried that three times, as far as I recall.

Sadly, my dream songs have been shit so far.

But I've written some killer riffs while washing the dishes at a local pizzeria, yeah!

Cool, so I'm not the only one.

How do you think that these dream songs are created? Do you think we are subconciously going through the same things we do when we write music?

Or is it from somewhere else?

One song by the name of was recorded while I thought I was sleeping, I think my altered state was to blame. Seriously, I woke up in the afternoon, turned on my PC, went to do some leads on another song and there it was.
