DaveMustaine whaddafuck???? No need for that attitude. Nice of you to assume that I can't manage my money and that I spend like a madman. I can barely afford to buy food - i usually spend £15 for 2 weeks food. I buy 1 CD usually every 5 months. I have a loan like all the other students in the UK and I'm living in a shitty area paying rent. I have just had to sell half of my CD collection to pay the gas and leccie bills.
I work my ass off to have my money (however little it is) and when i VERY rarely decide to spend it on luxuries I feel I can do that without guilt. And I would be stupid not to use my NUS card when I do.
"students are living it up in uni, with a grandeur lifestyle" - yes there are a lot of students who live like this. But not where I'm from - and I'm certainly not one of them by any degree. I barely go out because I have so much work to do - I work pretty much 24/7 on my coursework. I don't want some sympathy vote or anything - just realise that your predjudiced view on student life is, for want of a better word, bollocks.
Student life isn't as b/w as you make it out to be.
That set things straight?
PS. Even if this was just a "wind-up" then I still take offense.
Next time don't judge people on the basis of one or two sentences on a forum.
BTW I also have a huge mp3 collection. I'm not proud of it and neither should you be. At least I have some right to complain when I do decide to buy my own CDs (however rarely that might be).
