In my opinion, "Anthems to the Welkins at Dusk" is their best album but from what you describe, you would probably prefer Equilibrium (the one with "Curse you all men" on) or Prometheus (extremely good album!). The speed on "Curse you all men" is about their fastest. As already mentioned, check out the song "In the wordless chamber" as it is particularly brutal.

Although Emperor aren't a fast band per se, sometimes they sound like they're going super sonic due to their use of dynamics (that, and the bass drum sound being blending into the snares). Regardless, I think Emperor are one of those bands that maintain a very high standard in all aspects of their music, so buying an Emperor album should be worth it no matter what metal you like.

I think 'anthems' would be have been a lot better with a clearer production, it's still a great album with songs like 'with strengh I burn' & 'thus spake the nightspirit'. One of my favourite emperor songs is 'source of icon E' the ball pinching hyper power metal bit is metal as fuck!
