Well good on Morbid Angel for doing what they wanted, making a record they are 100% into, and respect to them also for "not checking what the scene thinks is cool" while making it...

But it has to be said it's more than a bit of a shame they don't seem to have listened to popular extreme music for the last 15 years, as their new album and the style they kinda say they've "happened upon" is terribly outdated and seems to be rubbing the majority of their fanbase up the wrong way.

I have to say i'm not into the ott personal attacks which seem to be kicking off now, if you don't like the record just don't buy it, then you won't be encouraging them to make any more along these lines.

Yeah the good humoured stuff is funny as hell (like the hitler video) and they've asked for it, but you know how quickly it goes over the line

I hope this doesn't spell the end for them. I'd personally like to see them bounce back quickly. An 8 track fast as Fuck full on death metal album next year would do nicely but can't see it happening somehow.
