I'll have to listen to it a few more times, I only gave it one listen through, but As I've noticed with Tyr, their stuff grows on me immensely and hasn't disappointed yet, so we'll see |

Astra: The Weirding Space rock. Mellotrons and moogs. Sounds like Yes/Rush/Pink Floyd/Hawkwind and even Black Sabbath chucked in a blender. Very, very, very fucking good. Had to go to great lengths to prove to a friend's dad that this was a new band and not something from the olden days that had passed him by. |

So far, the only album that's been released in 2009 by an artist I like is Devourment's "Unleash the Carnivore." By the way, does anyone know of any bands that are even similar to Mithras? I don't know how to explain it, but Mithras is to me is more than what other bands are. Anything which is close would be great to hear. |
