| Post subject: | 'Clean' Vocals |
The lack of new questions posted alarmed me so I thought of something. This one is for Rayner mainly. I read some posts in other sections with members saying they didn't like black/death metal vocals or whatever, and that they preferred certain bands when the vocals were clean (Emperor and Opeth being some examples) So my question is - will there ever be tracks or would you ever consider recording tracks with 'clean' vocals or tracks where parts of the vocal are 'clean' (like 'An Elegy of Icaros' for example - part black metal vocal, part 'clean') Just a thought... :D |

Hi. Rayner isn't on the board, so i'll answer for him. We have considered clean vocals in the past, but so far they havent been appropriate. On the whole Rayner has been singing a lot clearer on 'Worlds...' as opposed to 'Forever...' as we wanted a less brutal more intelligible voice (see Psyrens for an example). I suppose only time will tell! |
