That's kinda a yes (a big yes even) but i wondered if you guys could elaborate. I remember last year when looking at Orbeth's myspace account and noticed that Ben was friends with this R n B singer called Lydia Denker.

But yeah i do notice that whether its the musician's upbringing or the various stuff he or she likes that they do incorporate lots of genres into one mix. Lemmy is apparently a Jazz loving piano player in his spare time.

That and Rayner likes the Conan the Barbarian OST. (incidentally I'm thinking about getting those original novels in the near future. Do you know if Rayner knows which ones to start off with?)

As far as I know everyone playing in Mithras atm likes music other than Metal, and I'm sure it's been an influence on their respective compositions, they could be more specific obviously and hopefully they will be!

I've detailed the other stuff I listen to a few times: I like a lot of ambient stuff, some pop, rock, prog. There's only a few musical genres I don't appreciate very much.

I'll mention to Rayner to come on here and give you an answer re Conan too!

I saw it first Leon! ! I haven't actually read any of them but hopefully will at some point . At the mo I'm reading Orcs by Stan Nicholas, Its very good. As far as music goes, I rarely listen to much metal at all. I'm loosing my edge !
