i'm that bloke who occasionally pops down to rugby to play some drums and then buggers off again. learning the mithras songs is going pretty well at the moment. it was a different story when i first joined though. i didn't have a drum kit to practice on so i was air drumming to learn the songs. this was unsuitable for two reasons. firstly i wasn't able to apply what i had learnt to a kit until the day of the rehearsal and in some cases found i was playing stuff slightly wrong. secondly it made me look like a complete knob head.
