i never said i didnt like the form that the worlds takes i just said that i wanted it to have at least some structure to it.....i love bands like opeth and mithras...i actually have the entire opeth collection and the entire mithras collection....
i dooooooooooo like the fact that it twists and turns and takes it to a whole other direction.....but sometimes i just need a catchy riff to grasp onto to drag me into the song and then i can peice it all together and figure out its direction.....
i guess to explain it better....imagine that the song is going far away out into space...and theres a rope attached to it....im holding onto the rope and as the song keeps going the rope begins to slip out of my hand....but hell yeah this is the best ride right at the last inch of the rope....but all i need is a peice of the song from before that i will remember that will allow me to grap up higher on the rope....
there only needs to be at least some repetition in the song to keep me from floating away from the song......when the song starts going off into some odd direction it needs to have a peice that i will recognize from before to drag me back in and keep me interested....
for me that line of perfection is in between worlds and legions......
worlds had a few of these songs like lords and masters and the caller and the listener....but beyond the eyes of man was just to drawn out and unclear....
dont get me wrong tho i love every song on Worlds and Legions.
