AHHHHHHH YES! I'M BACK HOME IN MY BED !!!!!!! HORRAAAAAHHH

Just a wee wickle thread to say a MASSIVE THANKS to all who supported us through the last 3 days...........

crew, support acts, fans, bar personell and the police hahahahaha

Damnation fest was a blast to kick it all off!....... only a 35 min set but it still shook Leeds uni like it had never been shaken before! Tomb of Kings was true metal thunder!

Edinburgh after 10 hours driving was my personal fave (up until the point where i fell off my drum throne acting like a c**t) next time i'll hand my sticks over personally as opposed to trying to launch them standing on my drum stool.........

and finally Exeter covering for Negura was a great booster for the cities metal minions! Good to see you again Nauthiz!

Thanks to ALL who took part !

and after 1005 miles of driving im home in sunny Hinckley to tidy this shite hole that i left! ugh! Queue the dyson attack! and i have to say i had a full on robot chubby when i crawled in at 2am last night and stood there looking at a great big kingsized bed just waiting to embrace my sweaty ass!

I fookin certainly had a blast!

see you all soon!

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Seconded, thanks to everyone who turned out to the shows. It was a great experience which I really enjoyed.

Obviously it was meant to be 2 shows which turned into 3 at the last minute with the addition of the Exeter gig - no sane person would ever plan a tour with an 11 hour drive in a single day, at least not without dedicated drivers or a bus  Although I'm very happy with how we played I've got plenty of ideas re what we could do differently to make it easier in general.

I ended up having 12 hours sleep across the 3 days which doesn't make for a great performance when you're hauling gear, standing up or sitting crushed in a small car for the rest of the time

Highlights:

The insane pit, fighting and stage diving at Damnation, which cleared most of the floor area of the second room.

The really cool and receptive audience in Edinburgh, a few who missed their trains home to watch us finish the set. Shame we didn't get a chance to look around the city.

The surprise crowd in Exeter who headbanged, crowd surfed and wouldn't leave till we did an encore. At that point I wanted to lie down and die but the crowd stayed chanting, so we shuffled back onstage and did our best to run through 'Spheres'. It was a miracle Sam played this gig as some kind of satanic death flu struck him down 2 hours before stage time.

Cheers to all three promoters, Gavin at Damnation, Mike in Edinburgh and Terry in Exeter. Big thanks to Rob Morris for the sound and Lee du Caine for assisting him at Damnation 8) and of course Lisa for handling the merch :D

Big thanks to everyone who came out and saw Mithras live on our recent UK tour.

We had an awesome time, kicking it off to a very busy room at Damnation Festival 2009 in Leeds, and followed that up with two headlining shows in Edinburgh and Exeter.

We drove over 1100 miles in three days, and drove for 11 hours solid to get from Edinburgh to the Exeter show . Hails to our crew and everyone who helped make the shows a success!

Video footage from the shows will be on the Mithras YouTube page soon!

Hearing about these shows makes me want to save up an assload of money just to fly overseas to see you guys.

Unfortunately, I am too busy with my school to get a job.
