Howdy ho everyone. We're going through all the songs that'll make up our set, and wondering which songs you'd all consider "essential" to a Mithras show.

Obviously we can't please everyone or play more than 3-4 songs from each individual record but we'd like to hear your views on which songs must be played to avoid tears at the shows, and which ones you think would be particularly good live...

Howdy ho mr. Leon!

How about the first ever live performance of dreaming in splendour?

I really can't say theres any setlist mithras could do that'd make me feel like i'd wasted my time as it's all incredible & any set will of course send me home with a very stiff back/neck & loss of most of my hair.

But seriously I'd say my personal 3 i'd request would be..

worlds beyond the veil
the caller & the listener
voices in the void

Is the chapel of ghouls cover still in there? Or was that just a one off?

interesting choices ;)

We've never played 'Chapel Of Ghouls' at a show, or at any other time. I think I played it once on a drumkit in 1998 when our old drummer said the blastbeat was unplayable tho...

Hmm I remember reading a live review on the old site that mentioned a chapel of ghouls cover :? Maybee it was a mithras/morbid angel comparison or something?

Interesting to see what everyone wants to hear.

We've more or less got a set-list together now, mainly based around whichever songs we can represent best with our current line-up.

We'll hopefully do something more special with interludes between songs and MAYBE some instrumental guitar interludes, depending on how good my playing is

Hehe cheers. I just mean It'll depend on whether I can get something neat together that I can play as intended at a live gig, most of the ambient stuff is done when I'm very relaxed.
