Rayner's journey into glam metal?

Leon, "WBTV" was the best thing since sliced bread. It still is. "BTSLM" has given me a different perspective to Mithras. A little more Bal Sagoth, a little more Lovecraft (even though I know you haven't read anything by him) and a little more Sparticus.

It's not just about the light, and it's not just about the dark. It's about the epic delivered by texture and saga-like narration.

...then browse the Mithras forum only to find this stain of a review marking the webpage... I tried to wash it off but even Mr Muscle wouldn't shift it...

Yeah opinion is opinion but some of the 'critique' in there is just plain wrong.
I can't be arsed to pull the review apart right now but criticising the songwriting for instance?!? erm, is he reading the same lyrics and listening to the same album?!

Anyway just for the reviewer's record - I had a break of about 4 months from BTSLM whilst I waited for a house purchase to go through. I thought to myself 'when it goes through I'll play Shadows as loud as fuck to celebrate'.
Since then I've played nothing else but Shadows with a bit of Worlds inbetween. I'll say that again - 'I've played literally NOTHING else since 31st October 2007'.
'Why?' you ask - because it buries every other metal release I can think of and then some.
I actually prefer it to WBTV now. It just kills me every time I get to the end of Thrown Upon The Waves and Into The Unknown because I want to know what happens next.

I hope this is just one bad review out of many good ones and I sincerely hope this stuff doesn't affect or influence anything Leon and Rayner pursue musicwise in the future.
